I managed to score some free tickets to this event (Thanks Mick!!), and it being my first ever TNA fan party, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I've been to a couple of live TNA events and fan interactions, so I had high hopes for the afternoon. So I turn up to Camden Dingwalls and queued up with other very like minded individuals, many of whom had been to more than one of these parties previously. It always amazes me how sociable and friendly wrestling fans are with decent banter and conversations(unless you're booing Cena at a WWE event, then it's a whole different story!) . Lots of talk about a meet and greet with some TNA talent. But I didn't have any idea of the show they were going to put on…

JB as usual is on good form, encouraging us all to drink and enjoy ourselves, and introducing us to the camera crew. Cue loud TNA chants. He also hinted that there could be another live Impact taping in the UK later next year.
I spotted a few UK wrestlers around the venue, which lent towards the online rumours that a UK TNA Gutcheck would be announced. JB introduces a pre-taped video message from Dixie Carter who thanked the UK fans for contributing to the growing success of TNA in the past year. She then stated that the only thing missing in TNA is more UK talent, and announced that there will be a British Bootcamp, where 4 of the top UK wrestling talent would compete for a TNA contract. The show will be filmed from December and shown on Challenge TV, in the run up to the TNA Impact Tour in January 2013. The 4 wrestlers announced were 'Party' Marty Scurll, The Blossom Twins and Rockstar Spud who came onto the stage to a huge ovation (Spud got the loudest chants!) and each participant got to say a few words about what they think they chances are in the competition. They were also told the contest would start the next day, when their mentor Rollerball Rocco would be flying over from Spain to see them train and decide who has passed the first stage. Whoever passes this stage will then go on to OVW to start their TNA training.

Fans were brought up on stage to answer questions and get free merchandise at regular intervals, which got us all a bit too excited!!

There was a Skype call with Robbie E, where JB made fun of Robbie E's points score in the Bound For Glory table. He then announced that Robbie would be on the UK Tour

More freebies were given out, props to the guy that did the Mr Anderson entrance in front of us all. Pretty decent, although a bit weird in the English accent.

Another Skype call, this time with Joseph Park. Park vowed to uncover who is heading up Aces & Eights (with his only feud being with Bully Ray, that got me thinking he could be revealed as the leader!) A mega Joseph Park fan was allowed to ask him questions about why he's not been on TV the past couple of weeks (apparently due to depositions and legal meetings)

They then filmed a TNA Spin Cycle segment with all 4 British Bootcamp contestants. All were asked who they would like to fight first if they made it to TNA. The Blossom Twins come across as very nice and sweet, and could make a good addition to to Knockouts Division. Rockstar Spud and Marty Scurll were making a lot of digs at each other including Spud ripping off Wayne's World with the written question card saying 'Marty Squirrel', which hopefully will make for great viewing when the show airs in December

At the end of the show, there was a special Celebrity Spin Cycle with Alpha Female, Joel Ross from Wrestletalk, UK darts sensation Paul 'The Asset' Nicholson and Paul Benford. Topics for discussion were who is head of Aces & Eights, who should be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, and whether they would be attending the Wembley live tapings. JB also made reference to Bobby Roode requesting that Paul Nicholson accompany him to the ring at one of the UK tour events.

All in all a really good party, a lot of fun and a great surprise in the British Bootcamp announcement. I for one am very much looking forward to seeing how the show goes. Although I have to be honest, I'm rooting for Rockstar Spud!!
